Assignment #6 - Paint A Landscape

I have been slacking of with this lately, so I apologize if anyone has been keeping up with this blog. For this week's assignment, I would like to take a more impressionist approach. Visit a place that you love to go to (e.g. a park, beach, cool building). Take in what it is you love about that place, and create a piece based on that. Paint that place with sound.

Assignment #5 - Music Dialogue

Music is often referred to as a language. Take this idea, and transcribe a conversation between two or more people into the language of music. This can be from a novel, interview, something you make up yourself... anything. Of course, just as language has, there are various dialects of music. The possibilities are endless!

Assignment #4 - ReversesreveR

Do an analysis of one of your favorite songs/pieces (that is, listen to the song and learn to play it by ear). Afterwards, transpose it to be played backwards. Every beat and note should be and exact mirror of its original context. If it is a song, find a way to recite the words backwards as well. Do it however you want.
